Bamboo Headquarters Nursery is located in a rural part of Vista, California, near Camp Pendleton. We have over 5 acres of bamboo and exotics at this location and over 42 acres total on all of our growing grounds. Just a dozen miles away from the 78 and 15 freeways, you’ll feel like you stepped back in time as you discover farmlands, growing grounds and horse ranches as you make your way to our nursery. As you drive down Guajome Lake Road and Majella Road, you will see houses that were built in the early 50’s and farmland still used for cut flowers, nursery plants and more.

Touring the Nursery

When you make an appointment to visit Bamboo Headquarters, a bamboo consultant will plan to meet with you personally on your bamboo project. Our bamboo consultants are all trained to help you find the perfect bamboo for your project. We encourage you to look through our online bamboo catalog before you visit. Print it out or make a list of the bamboos that you may be interested in. Our consultants will show you those items and more as you tour the grounds. We have most popular bamboos planted in a botanical and garden setting to help you visualize their mature size and form. We also encourage you to view our Bamboo 101 information page before visiting. We’ll give you a lot of bamboo information to help you find the perfect choices for your particular situation. Take a few minutes now to educate yourself on our website before your visit!

Growing Grounds

We display our best specimens of bamboo and exotics stock at our 4-acre nursery and demonstration gardens, in Vista. We grow our bamboo and exotics in growing grounds nearby. Here we raise bamboo from greenhouse-produced small cuttings to 3, 5, and 15-gallon containers and up to 84 inch boxes! Once these bamboos are available for sale, we bring them to our main nursery for display and sale.

Our largest growing ground is located in San Marcos, California. In addition to bamboo, we propagate and grow many Palm Trees, Exotics and Specimen Oak Trees. If you are in the wholesale green-industry trade (nurseryman, landscaper, contractor), please visit our sister site Botanical Partners to view our entire inventory of bamboo, palms, oaks, flowering trees, and exotics.
